Hi, My name is Ivan from Singapore. As this is my first time buying a IWC watch. I need the expert from this forum for some advice. Above is the 2 model I'm looking at, which is a better choice?
As Roberto said it's personal preference . I have a Galapagos and a Aquatimer 2000 i find myself wearing my Galapagos a lot more than the 2000. I must say though the Cousteau looks like a very nice watch . Whatever one you decide on i think you will be happy . Good luck in your choice
I have both and find I wear the Galapagos about 3x that I wear the Cousteau. Additionally, more people notice and comment on the Galapagos. Both are excellent choices, whichever you choose enjoy and wear it in good health. Let us know which you decide on and send photos. Regards, Kevin
Thanks to Robert, Rooneb and Kelvin for your kind advice. Think I will go to the boutique to take a look at both watch before I make my decision. Yes, I will attached the photo once I got it :-)
Once again, I appreciate all your kindness on giving me advice on my stupid question.
Actually, I'm also looking at the portuguese collection. sign.......
It's strange you can have an experince regarding wearing habits of both as the 376706 has been on the market since a couple of days only if I'm right. Don't get me wrong, just wondering.
Hi Robert, I'm not too sure about oversea, but in Singapore the watch just arrived yesterday, according to the sales from our local AD. Currently, they have reserve for my viewing. Will be dropping the boutique by this few days :-)
Maybe Kevin is refering to the old Cousteau, where as 376706 is the fifth edition and is classified as special edition, not like the old Cousteau which is limited to 2500 pieces. So, we won't know what's the actual watch produce by IWC for his model.
And also do you mind pm me what's your buying price for this model?
I don't own either of them, but I think in the long run, the Cousteau will seem timeless and at some point, all black watches won't be the rage. Just my opinion, mind you.
