Hello fellow watch enthusiasts.
I normally post on another forum, but felt it may be better to post on this more specialised IWC forum.
As the title suggests, I have acquired a 1916 Demi-Hunter Stauffer IWC watch. I have had confirmation from the IWC corporate archives that the case and movement serial numbers are a match, and that the archives noted the unusual dial.

The sales records says about the dial: “cadran blancs, points lumineux, aiguille lumineux”. That means the dots had radium insight. The hands also.
As such, the hands appear to be a replacement.
The hallmarks (dated 1916) tie in with the records which state the watch was supplied to Stauffer 1916. I was also informed 'I checked the catalogues from 1916 to 1920 and I did not find a dial like this. It seems that Stauffer probably ordered the dial especially for the British Market'.
As such, im wondering has anyone else seen a dial like this before?
Any other comments welcomed
