Good Tuesday Everyone,
Anybody heard any updates on when the new 2012-2013 catalogue is due for distribution ? Hopefully it will be sooner this year along with the earlier arrival of the novelties.

Super question Andy. I have no news - but will get an update tomorrow evening.

Thanks

Hi Andrew,
Are those 'few more weeks' already passed?
Looking forward to the 2012-2013 catalogue! :)

I am just making an educated guess, that if you want the new catalog - you will need an iPad...
Although I only talked with local IWC Schaffhausen based guys - not corporate - it was postulated that an electronic version would be produced. In addition it's likely - due to significant costs - that the printed hard cover version will disappear. Collecting the WATCH magazine each month will be a surrogate of having the active catalogue - over a time period of about 16 months.
Hmm, stacking iPads on a bookshelf doesn't look as good as hardcopy IWC catalogs :-(
Kind regards,
Clemens
Agreed Clemens - and I said the same. It's likely to take some time before they disappear completely (if at all) - no decision finally taken by IWC corporate.

I think that losing the catalogue would be quite a mistake, or a huge pity, to say the least. The catalogue not only does bind some customers (me, for instance, and most of you too, I guess), it also is a very neat way to preserve history. Does history make money? In this case not so much, I would say. But getting rid of the catalogue loosens (loses) some connection to the regular customers. I would lose one of the big fun parts of my holiday, collecting the catalogue and studying it in the evening. Oh well, getting older and seeing some changes doesn't make one always happier: go ahead, IWC, in the longer run you don't need me.
Kind regards,
Paul

Andrew and/or Michael:
Any (North America) updates to offer?
Thanks,
Andy
EDITED....
Anyone? Anywhere? Anything?
Edited above
I will be paying a long awaited visit to Schaffhausen this weekend, one of my many questions will be about the availability of the new catalogue. Maybe they'll tell me whether they intend to phase it out..
I'll post here next week what I find out..
Alan
Thanks Alan. Enjoy the visit!

Thang
Maybe Michael can shed some light on this issue?
Kind regards,
Paul
NYC Boutique info saying a couple of weeks.

I'm checking currently.
To my knowledge, there will be a printed catalog, and soon. The "digital only" rumor is almost certainly incorrect and unfortunate.
Here's an update from Schaffhausen:
The catalogue is currently being distributed in English and German. It should have arrived in several places already but there may have been some logistical delays.
But it`s definitely on its way --very soon. And those rumors about dispensing with the printed version are false.
