2012 - What are your acquisition ?

The Gerald Genta design concept is quite great. It is the way the concept is implemented that makes the difference. The IWC way of implementing is quite clean, both the new 40 mm watch and the ceramic (is this still been inspired enough by the Gerald Genta concept?) look very nice to me. The Hublot in contrast is busy and a bit messy, with a lot of frills. But in a way you are right: the Ingenieur family is not my favourite, that is the Portuguese, like the handwound. But as always, there are exceptions, and one of the Ingenieurs I mentioned could very well be mine one day.

Here are my 2012 IWC acquisitions. IWC F.A. Jones IW544203 with Santoni strap now, and the IWC Pilots Automatic Antoine de Saint Exupery IW320101.

This was my acquisition in 2012. I'm wearing it today, it looks fantastic and it wears quite comfortable. I really can recommend it!

One other addition for 2012, the Vintage Collection Pilot's Watch Hand-Wound IW325401.

This is my only IWC purchase this year (so far).
It it the third of these I have owned and the second I currently own :)

I have one inbound next week. It's a secret (tease) until I pick it up. A couple of guys know and are sworn to secrecy, but can anyone else hazard a guess?

Hi Bill,

It's apparent how much you enjoy your AT2000 White Dial and how proudly you wear it on many of your travels. Given your appreciation and comment on the white dial AT in this thread, my guess is that you now want to join the VC-AT club and might have secured one soon to arrive in the states.

If my guess is correct, no doubt how much you are going to enjoy it.
