I just aquired a 2001 3526-02 in near mint shape here in Tokyo. I removed one
link and found that the push-pn would not re-extend once pushed in. I am now
soaking the link on WD40 t try tp free it up. Any advice? Fortunately I did
not need this link to wear the watch. This is my third and favorite IWC (3255
    & 3719).

    Cheers

That is indeed the main problem of that links system.
I had once the same problem and was able to solve it with heat and cooling
    spray.

Heating up the link with a gas lighter and then dropping some drops from a
cooling spray can onto the pin. I continued this procedure some times until
the pin snapped into the right position again.

    Good luck
