Hi friends,
I really need your help. I bought this watch at Tourneau and have 14 days return policy, so do not have time to run the official check with IWC. Can you please share your opinions and observations based on the photos and description? Could this be a fake, even though it was certified by Tourneau? PLEASE HELP. I am new to IWC, so please bare with me.
The staff at Tourneau was of course useless in answering my questions, but I sought this watch for long time and just decided to buy it.

The good:
- The watch itself feels good weight and solid. The dial is beautiful and detailed as it should be all at first glance seems ok.
What makes me suspicious:
- The date changes at +5 past midnight, but the day changes later at +10 min or so...I have never seen this is the case with other brands. However, I took another newer model from their store and tried the same and also noticed a similar discrepancy.
When using the chronometer stopwatch, start/stop and reset buttons are kind of hard to press...it takes a really good push to get it going and when I press it makes a noticable click and just does not feel as smooth and seamless as you could expect...again, I am new to IWC, but just could not understand why they did not want to make this smoother.
It is very hard to see on the picture, but if I look at really closely at the triangle shape that is placed instead of number 12, the lower edge of the triangle is not perfectly aligned with the top edge of the smaller dial right below it. As you glance from left to right side of edge, it just seems the right side is a tiny tiny bit further away. This is very hard to notice for most of people, but I did as I looked at the watch very closely from different angles.
When I swing the watch near my ear, like 2-3 inches away, I can hear the winding mechanism swinging left and right. Again, it is just weird this can be heard at all...I do not hear it on my Explorer I and other brands.
Bracelet: Searching the internet for my particular model, I found pictures that have different types of metal bracelet, granted not all the pictures were from 100% legit sources. There is a bracelet like mine that has all the links of same shape and then there is another bracelet that looks just like mine but the links in the 2nd and 4th row are not identical to the ones in 1-3-5 rows. This other bracelet does come on other models, but it is just weird that both appear associated with this particular models, at least based on pics available on the internet.
Any comments are much appreciated.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
