I'm checking out pix of the blue dial 3717-12 Laureus Flieger. But blue color in all photos seem to vary quite a bit. Is the blue a flat medium blue or a glossy dark blue?

Also, I'm concerned about legibility. Some seem to be quite busy looking and hard to read. Some look like this model is pretty legible with interesting dimension. Which is most accurate?

Any photos showing accurate color and legibility appreciated.

3717-12 Laureus Chrono color a legibility?

As soon as I can figure out how to attach a photo I will send one of the 3717-12. I think its a great looking watch and have just ordered a new strap for it.

I have seen one: don't worry, it's great

The colour of the dial is a greyish metallic kind of soft blue, not dark at all. The readability is very good, as hands and indexes are quite solid, that is, not thin, and contrast with the dial. If I wouldn't have had the Saint Exupéry Chrono I might have been very tempted to buy it. I remember seeing quite a good picture of it here somewhere, have you tried already to find it in the archive?

    Kind regards,

It is a beautiful and legible IWC...

the blue dial is outstanding, but very difficult to photograph properly. The lume is excellent so even at night you can easily read the dial. It is one of my favorites. Nothing to worry about, imho,

It's not a problem; the blue is a great colour IMO

Very legible and great looking dial

The dial looks very different depending on the lighting conditions.
The pictures should give you a rough idea.

    Cheers,
    Evan
