Hi just got a 3717 not long ago, after 3 weeks the rotation of the rotor seems to be more loose as more noise is being produced when rotating of the rotor. Does mechanical watches have a break-in period? Thanks.

anyone able to help?
I am responding simply because you seem quite anxious. I am not sure you have an urgent issue here.
Certainly, there is a "break-in period" which some may agree is 30-90 days depending on how you wear it I am not so sure that has much to do with the rotor.
Overall, the watch may be subjected to temperature or other environmental conditions which could result in "different sounds". I also find on my IWCs that I occasionally will notice the sound of the spinning rotor, which may sound different than it did a week, or several months ago, but then sounds the same again - I don't think it's getting "looser" - but perhaps it's a combination of other factors in the watch, the clutch or power reserve that the watch has which may (but I am not sure about this) have some affect of the types of noises or vibrations you hear....
Are you finding that you're losing power? Is the watch stopping over night? If not, it's not likely you have an issue.
One of the reasons that service issues aren't a topic here is that they are difficult or impossible to diagnose via electronic communication, especially using words. Someone skilled needs to listen to watch to hear what you hear --we can't tell how loud it is and we can't tell what changes in sound you hear (it may be just increased consciousness of the sound, although I respect what you claim).
Please have your watch checked in person with an authorized dealer. Most can tell if you need to have the watch serviced.
Also, while I do like to help, I'm sorry that I or others didn't reply as soon as you look. Posting a second query in just over two hours may be expecting a bit much, especially given different timezones, and given that you don't have a critical problem given that apparently the watch is winding and keeping good time.
Thanks for the replies. Sorry bout it, but i was kind of anxious to know what is wrong with it since i cant really find the answers online. I will bring it down to the AD for a check. I do also notice that the crown seems tighter/ harder to twist while im winding it. Lastly, will over winding occurs as a problem for the pilot chrono? Did some read up and ive gotten mixed answers. Sorry again as this watch is my first mechanical watch. Thanks.
While you're winding it, it may seem to get tighter. You can't over-wind the watch - it has a "clutch-like" device that prevents that.
