Can someone tell me what the tolerances are for the 5000 series movement in my 5001-09? Watch is about 3 weeks old now and at first ran at 2 seconds - now seems to be 6 seconds on my wrist. What do IWC state for this movement?

    Thank you

    Richard

than when it is fully wound in the safe. 6 seconds is really not so bad. 6 seconds is still within COSC tolerance.
It can also differ depending on how you keep the piece at night, on its side, on its back. That can influence it by a couple of seconds a day I have noticed on some of my watches.

I also have a 500109 and I am very happy with the watch. I have noticed a deviation of 6 to 8 seconds a day and it does vary more when worn on the wrist. I expressed my concern to the AD I purchased the watch from and he doesn't think it is a problem at this time. However, he stated that if the watch continues to accumulate further time in the course of a day whereby the watch gains added time in minutes, then he suggested returning the watch to them for IWC to look at it. Hope this helps
