IWC has an upcoming campaign with Laureus, where (for the very first time) consumers can vote for their favorite drawing online and the winning drawing will be engraved on the back of the 2017 Laureus special edition. I thought that this would be a great chance for the forum members to actively participate in the creation of the new Laureus piece since many of us have one or more Laureus IWC in the collection.
IWC Schaffhausen is a Global Partner of Laureus and is committed to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. To celebrate the partnership, IWC Schaffhausen and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation created the IWC Drawing Competition ten years ago. Each year a new limited-edition watch is created with an iconic dial in Laureus blue, the colour of hope, and a case engraved with a drawing that is selected from entries to a competition in which young people from local Laureus Sport for Good Foundation projects take part. As with all previous editions, part of the proceeds from the sales of the watch is donated to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
The 2016 IWC Drawing Competition saw young people from Laureus Sport for Good Foundation projects around the world submit a piece of art based on the theme "Time Well Spent". A jury composed of members from IWC Schaffhausen and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation have selected a shortlist of the ten most creative drawings.
For the first time, the drawings by the selected finalists will be submitted to a consumer vote. The winning project, whose design will be engraved on the 2017 IWC Schaffhausen Sport for Good special edition watch, will receive a special visit from the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation as well as receiving a donation from IWC Schaffhausen.
