I’m going for the full-on vintage look with a very light brown IWC strap. It seems to give it a more casual look (works for me!) and at the same time really makes that glossy dial pop.

I think IWC hit a grand slam with this one!

    This looks absolutely phantastic!

Congratulations with this vision, did you already have the strap and did you try it by accident? I quite agree that it brings out alive that beautiful dial even more. And the deployant is a bonus too.

    Kind regards,
Paul, having this watch on my wrist in exactly one week

    Dark suit, brown shoes ...

... some say you shouldn't but with the right suit and the right suit, it looks very snappy. A good combination.

    Cheers,

    Ralph

    Beautiful watch, Larry.

I may be biased but I think this is the nicest of the vintage collection.

The strap compliments the watch and it does dress it down. Looks good. besides, it is in keeping with your style. The only time I have ever seen you in a suit was at SIHH!

    Well done!

    Regards, George

    I love it!!! I'm not

a fan of black straps. I thought of brown for my Vintage Portuguese and held a number of straps up next to it, thinking dark brown might do. But none looked half as good as yours does!

    Great choice!

    I am 100% sure.

But he did wear it with tennis shoes. He called them Italian loafers but they looked like sneakers to me!

A different look for the Vintage Portugueser

    Larry,
Can you see much movement in the back of this watch? I mean do the gears and all move when you wind it? I really like this watch.

very nice watch. Easily the best of the IWC Vintage Collection. Closest resemblance to the vintage watch> But I still prefer the black strap>
