Two months ago I took the courage to go for my dream watch: A Portuguiese Minute Repeater. But when I saw my AD to order the watch, he offered a Portuguiese Tourbillon Mystère as an alternative. What to do in that situation?! I had to oversleep on the decision, but then I made the decision of my life: I ordered both watches! Since then my friends consider me as totally “IWC crazy” and presumably they are true, but who cares?! They will never understand my decision as they are all no watch “aficionados”. Now two weeks ago I got my two beauties. Please apologize the poor quality of the pictures, but I faced similar problems as Michael Friedberg with his PRT: Reflections on the Ardoise dial! But I can confirm to you: In reality both watches are absolutely stunning, the slow oscillation of the Tourbillon an eye catcher and the chime of the Minute Repeater an enthrallment!

    If...

... I was ever dispatched to a desert island to spend the rest of my days with two watches, I think it would be these two watches. Both represent the pinnacle of watch making art. It's very heartening to see dreams realised. Congratulations.

If there's a buyer out there, I might just slim down the collection to these two and a Timex, or an Aquatimer and a Pilot's watch, and perhaps a da Vinci Chrono ... it's not going to work out. I'm a serial IWC collector!

A tourbillon and a minute repeater are fabulous watches.

That is when you know you are fully afflicted...

when you end up with two watches instead of one. And what watches! This are two serious watches. Ardoise dials look great despite the reflections. Enjoy!!!
