A great day today - My Beauty is Back

What a great day. My VC AT is back from a three weeks servicing trip at IWC. I really missed the baby like crazy these past weeks.

Btw, while picking up the AT, my AD showed me a nice timepiece which had just arrived. A Platinum PPC, limited to 250 pieces and this one is number 250 of 250! I was very tempted, but with 3 IWC purchases this year, and two further ones to come before end of the year (oops! did I spoil a secret? Psst, don't tell anybody else) for sure I overstretched my IWC budget this year.

Enjoy the AT! And that platinum watch is killing in various ways.

As you know (and the whole world), I am a huge fan of the VC-AT and am happy for you that it's back. Thanks fir the great pic's. I may be wrong but I don't remember you having it for a real long time. If true, was it general servicing that was done or was there a more specific issue that needed addressing? Just curious.

Giovanni, I know I would be missing mine, even if gone for one day !

@ Teeveetee...go for it b/4 the NIB's are gone. This has been a difficult model to get lately ( in U.S. ) as production ends. According to the Boutique last week, there wasn't any available in the states. It's been tight for the entire year.

Hi Andy,

I'm having her since exactly two years. As a diver I take her in its natural element - also here in the cold lakes of Germany. In such case it is wise to send her at least every two years to a "small service", especially to check it is still water proof.

I'll let Bill do his reveal first. For my reveal you will have to wait until Xmas or probably even until the 26.
But I promise you, there is a really nice and funny story around that reveal (which I uncovered just yesterday), which I will share with you then.
For the time being, I can tell you that much: Two pieces, both are somehow linked to the future, both are somehow linked to my past;-)

Thank you Giovanni for sharing the situation. Come to think of it...yes, I now remember many of your pic's with the VC-AT are "in the wet". I can totally understand your desire to stay ahead of any potential WR matters.

You know Giovanni, there's a limited edition VC-AT (30 pieces) out there just waiting for you to adopt one. I know if that was to be one of the reveals, your hands would be so shaking with excitement, we would not get a clear pic.

Good to see it back on your wrist Giovanni. I was at the swimming pool today with my two boys and the AT Split Minute was a great companion.

I have been thinking of aquiring the Vintage Aquatimer myself, maybe in 2013?

Right now I have bought three other divers within a month so I better hold my breath for a minute.
