A Little Mystery while waiting for SIHH

Dear collectors community,

as we are all waiting with big expectations the SIHH to kick-off, and IWC - like other watch companies - is creating a big tension by making big mysteries around the new timepieces it is going to release, I thought I do the same thing.

Well, here is the first little piece of information:
I proudly announce that on January 16th, exactly with the start of the SIHH, I am going to my AD and am going to pick-up a timepiece which I reserved today.
Which one it is, I am going to uncover the 16th. But to create some tension, allow me to give you the following further details:

[li]It is going to be an IWC :-)[/li]
[li]It is not anymore in IWC's current collection[/li]
[li]It is going to be new / unworn[/li]
[li]It will greatly extend my collection[/li]
[li]It is made of a precious material[/li]
[/ul]

I feel that's enough for the time being. Probably I will release further details in the next days.

No, I am going to stay tough and am not going to uncover the secret until the 16th. The day I'll pick it up and will be able to post pictures of it on my wrist.

I just came back (again today) from the AD to admire that beautiful timepiece (and will probably do so another couple of times until the 16th). But I deliberately choose to make it my personal SIHH 2012 present and pick it up with the kick-off of SIHH.

The Portuguese Regulateur is not mine :) I was trying it out in the boutiques. Taking my time to decide 2012 and 2013 purchases - many temptations !

Your call and that's fine. But most of the novelties won't be disclosed fully until then, and I expect the volume here to be huge --many hundreds of posts. Your news might be buried quickly. Should you consider waiting a few days?

Good advice...once SIHH starts the traffic here goes up tenfold. I intend to take a ton of pictures at the IWC venue at SIHH. Since Nad and Bill cannot make it this year I feel compelled to try to fill their shoes. LOL. The operative word is "try".

Alan best of luck filling Nad's shoes, photos of airports, planes, buses, trains, coffee, food, booze, hotels, and that's before any watches. Do not forget the wrist shots require some tasty shirts to be worn as well! Think you are going to have your work cut out.

LOL, I am going to cut out the airports, planes, buses, trains, coffee, booze, and hotels. Might include some food. But I will go heavy on the people and watches. And I intend to get a great Nad shot, perhaps safely in the back of a taxi.

My guess is that its a member of the Pilots family ?

Why not take the photos at the AD and post them on the 15th? That way hopefully your post will get some exposure before the flood of postings?

Andrew, Giovanni already has a BP in his collection, and as he is a " kind of purist" he likes his BP's traditional, without perpetual etc. so I doubt its a BP.

Now I happen to know that he somehow convinced himself to the idea that he likes the idea of adding Limted Edition's to his collection ....

Maybe a Portofino with a moonphase? Or maybe a regulator?

Giovanni, I concur with MF... You need to make your reveal before the SIHH takes off!
