    Good day all,

Last Saturday I went to the Boutique in Sao Paulo to see if they had the steel strap for the Aquatimer Automatic. I initially purchased it with a rubber strap and wanted to have to steel one also, to have a different look and feel. Especially since changing the strap literally takes less than a minute.

For those who remember how it looked...

    [i51.photobucket.com/albums/f397/dirkvanhoomissen/IMG_3286_zps5xlifcfl.jpg](s51.photobucket.com/user/dirkvanhoomissen/media/IMG_3286_zps5xlifcfl.jpg.html)

    and the new look...

    [i51.photobucket.com/albums/f397/dirkvanhoomissen/IMG_5266_zpscehfnpj9.jpg](s51.photobucket.com/user/dirkvanhoomissen/media/IMG_5266_zpscehfnpj9.jpg.html)

    Isn't that a cool transformation?

The attendance from the Boutique was superb and being there I took the advantage of trying out the Portugieser Chronograph 3714 (and some others timepieces as well). I had my eye on the Portugieser for some time, but was in doubt because I was also tempted to get the Jaeger Lecoultre Geophysic. Getting both was a bit too much, hence I had a tough decision to make.

I ended up ordering the steel bracelet for the Aquatimer, but left it at that.

Today I went to the Boutique to pick up the steel bracelet and Carlos put the Portugieser Chronograph back on my wrist. Very smart, as over the weekend I had decided that I was going for the Portugieser Chronograph.
Just for the fun of it and because I looked with interest at Carlos own watch he also let me try a Portugieser Automatic 5007.
And that's where doubt came up ... The next 20 minutes I was changing my mind on which watch I would take home several times ... how many times I can't exactly say, but surely people have gone crazy for less..

At the end I stuck to my first intention and told Carlos he could wrap the Portugieser Chronograph 3714. I am really happy with it and so relieved that the decision is taken :-)

Hereby a picture of the new family member

And one together with his bigger brother

A picture of Carlos (on the right) and myself - with my new watch :-)

And some more pictures of the Boutique in Sao Paulo, which definitely is worthwhile to visit. The staff is super friendly and has a lot of patience with people who can't decide what timepiece to take home.

Thanks to Carlos for the assistance, I am very happy with my purchase and I am sure I will be there again in a few weeks time to ask for assistance to change the strap for the niece brown strap I received as gift. So that I can see how classy the Portugieser will be with brown shoes.

    Happy me...

Congratulations. Great decision and a beautiful watch. I'm sure they are used to indecision when it comes to people purchasing watches. It must happen all the time. Enjoy!

Congrats - that 3714 is such a classic beauty with a sporty pedigree. And I agree, it will look stunning on a brown strap.

Congratulations on both watches! I love that AT and the bracelet is such a great addition. And for the 3714, have you seen how nice the Portofino Milanese mesh bracelet looks on that watch?

The fact that the 3714 has been in production since the 90s is testament to its timeless classic design. Congratulations.

Awesome choice. I picked my first and only IWC (3714) just over a year ago, and it's still my favorite. Just blows me away.

    Congrats.
