My CF3 is on holiday, touring Southeast Asia. After a brief stop in Hong Kong, it stopped in Singapore where it met up with some longstanding watch friends of mine and old timers from our forum.
Pictured (L to R) are Harry Tan, Jeffrey Sim, me and Dirk Janssen. Harry occasionally still visits here and takes some amazing watch (and other) photos. I met Jeffrey when he attended a collectors' meeting around 2004 at SIHH. Dirk attended a collectors' meeting several years ago in Schaffhausen, and is a real IWC vintage and pocket watch fan. Dirk is from Germany but has lived in Singapore for 15+ years.
I met them all around 10 years ago, when I visited Singapore and Malaysia for IWC. Jeffrey was a real sport to join us last night --the other three are all lawyers!
We had dinner at a great Chinese restaurant --and loved the black sesame in a ginger broth for desert. And we talked about many things, even watches, and made the almost mandatory table shot:
As you can see there's two CF3s in the bunch, plus one CFI. And the other hardware wasn't too shabby either!
