A Very Sad Day On The Forum

I suspect I am probably typical of a reasonable number of forummers who post sparingly but read daily, to whom the 'Masters' and other regular posters are a constant part of our lives, generously sharing their great knowledge and passion.

Kevin was just such a contributor who I hope was aware of the huge number of lives he touched and enriched through this forum.

He didn't know me but I feel I knew him and will certainly miss his presence.

Heartfelt condolences to all those that did have the privilege of knowing him personally.

My heart is heavy as I write this post. Dorothy and I first met Kevin in Philadelphia at a watch event and had the pleasure spending time with him. He was a kind and generous person to whom we immediately felt close. Kevin and I continued to correspond from time-to-time and it was our plan to visit NY in the near future to avail ourselves to the famous NY Boutique GTG team. Kevin was our "Blues Brother" and important contributor to this community. He will be missed by all. Dorothy and I send our heartfelt condolences to the Devine family and wish them peace in their time of grief. RIP Hermano de Azul.

Difficult for me to find the right words. My condolences to his family, loved ones and close friends. Alan, my condolences to you as well. I know his spirit will continue to live on here, on this forum among friends who have been touched by his enthusiasm, sense of humor, and friendship.

I still don't know what else to say. Such a shock. This can't be.

I never met Kevin, but I felt that I knew him since 2001 when I joined this forum. My eyes are wet and my heart is heavy! Rest in peace Kevin.

For these regretting moments let me just say as you Kevin are still here among us, you are a nice kind person, with a unique sense of humour.
I am fortunate enough to have met you.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Kevin, but his presence in the forum is undoubtedly significant. I enjoyed his contribution in this Forum and many of the facebook postings. A sad day and my heartfelt condolences to his family.

Kevin, if you are watching us up in the deep blue Laureus skies, RIP my friend. I will sorely miss your friendship and our almost weekly emails, texts, and calls. Nancy and Katie, my God give you strength in this time of grief.

Deepest sympathies to Nancy and the family. The shock of the loss of our dear friend is too difficult for words. Alan and Bill, please let us know if there is anything we can do. Kevin will be missed but not forgotten by all who had the privilege to know him as very special friend.

It is with deep sadness that I have just read the news. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to meet Kevin Devine personally. I always assumed to be allowed to meet the famous trio (Blues Brothers and Bill) one day directly in New York's IWC boutique. I'm personally very shocked and express my deepest condolences to his family.

Kevin was such a great guy. I will remember him as one of the nicest IWC collectors I have met. He was great to me a year ago when I started here in NY. IWC is loosing a great fan and a true follower of the brand but I feel that we all lost a great friend. Sometimes life is terrible.

A very tragic loss for his family and friends. I can only express my deepest condolences.

I have not had the privilege to know him in person but through the forum we shared the same passion. I am very sad.

Oh no! I was busy this morning and a little late tuning in here, and simply could not believe what I saw! What terrible news!

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of our friend. I remember Kevin from a Philadelphia Watch Time dinner, a couple of events at the NY Boutique, and of course through this Forum. He was a wonderful guy and so passionate about IWC.

Condolences to Kevin's family. I hope if there is anything any of us can do, Alan or Bill will let us know.

I just learned the sad news.
I can't believe it, I was so happy to have heard good news from you just a few days ago.
Kevin was a great guy, I enjoyed every moment we spent together when he visited the Flagship for a coffee, to meet with visiting collectors, or the meals we shared.
His charisma and sense of humor always cheered me up.
All my condolences to you, his friends, and his family.
