Hello,
The A35111 calibre movement is currently used in the Portofino and the Pilot (36mm) watch. I would like to know if this movement is reliable?
Thank you,
Sharon

Hello Sharon and welcome to the forum. The IWC calibre 35111 is built to IWC specs but based on the Sellita SW300-1 which is used by a multitude of reputable watch companies. It is indeed a very good, robust and reliable movement and as it is fairly popular may be more easily serviced than an exclusive in-house movement.
Hi Ben, thank you for your reply!
Hi,
I'm new in the forum and new to IWC. I just purchased my first one, a Marc
XVIII Le Petit Prince. I'm extremely happy with it. As I've been learning
about the watch, I've been trying to find out what's the precision of the IWC
Caliber 35111. Does it meet the COSC specification (-4/+6 secs per day)? Or is
it better?
Where could I find that info? I've searched in several forums including this
one without success.
Thanks in advance,
Tomas
Hello Thomas, welcome to the forum and congrats on your gorgeous Petit Prince!
IWC has slightly different specs, -0/+7, so slightly tighter - and the watch
mustn't run slow.
Thanks Ben. Really appreciated.

Tomas
Hello IWC lovers!
I'm a new-comer here and I recently bought Pilot Watch Mark XVIII.
I understand that its calibre, 35111, is based on Sellita SW300-1.
But will anybody kindly let me know what "based on" means?
Calibre itself completely the same but it is tuned for more punctuality.
or
Calibre component is modified (i.e., some additional part is installed, for
example).
Thanks a million,
Y.Sumi
