Andy, sorry for the late responce here...but congrats on finaly getting your watch. And what a great watch it is!

I love my VC AT - and am sure that you will get great pleasure in wearing yours (or even looking for hours a that great movement, through the saphire case back).

    Wear in good health.

if you get one, make sure to get with it also that brown strap...in reality that combo is much better than in photos..transforms the sporty look to quite an evening watch..
    cheers,

Add a deployant into the mix with a Santoni perhaps and you have a winner. I think the deployant on the YC would work well with the brushed case.

The virus has work again.....good luck to you in securing it. Hope to see a picture of it on your wrist soon.

Hard to believe it's been a year. Time flies when you are staring at your watches all day. Well Jarrod, I could fill this page with the many reasons I love my VC-AT, but bottom line after one year, it remains as exciting to wear as the day I received it.

I have had numerous compliments on how cool the watch looks. In fact, just last week I was in a specialty food store here in the U.S. called "Trader Joe's" and was checking out. The cashier noticed my watch as I was signing and asked me where I got my watch. I gave him a good up close wrist look and he was just in amazement. He said he had never seen such a watch and started asking about the two crowns. I gave him a quick turn of the internal bezel and his eyes nearly popped out (LOL).

So back to your question...It feels great to know that I finally got one and would never consider letting it go ( exception: even trade for a Platinum Minute Repeater...any takers? ). As commented in other posts in the last few days, it is very versatile in that it is very sporty yet can be dressed up with a strap change.

Jarrod, if there is any chance to get one I can assure you that there will be no regrets. It is simply a fantastic unique piece. Those who have one, know the feeling. Hope your AD can assist you or maybe the shop near Schaffhausen still has it and you can arrange securing it.

My fingers are crossed for you,

    Andy

Andy, I have been sitting in bed most nights since I got back reading this.

I e mailed the AD I buy from in NZ earlier in the week. I should know sometime soon.

I will be seeing him at the IWC Master Class tomorrow night. Fingers crossed.

By the way, I haven't told the wife yet. And I will be blaming you. :-)

It's quite alright to blame me. It would not be the first time by any means. Here's a suggestion that has worked for me. When you are ready to tell the wife, if she's resistant to the idea of getting it, cry like a baby !

I can totally understand why you keep gravitating to that picture. I look at it and get excited and I have it!! Go figure...

Curious, that cataloge. Is that something new you picked up and if I may ask where? I would be interested in adding one to my IWC library.

I hope the Master Class turns out to be a great time and your AD brings you good news. Can't wait to hear the results.

Now put the book down and get to bed mate,

    Andy

Cry like a baby? I can do that. No problem.

I picked the catalog up off eBay. I'm guessing it was from around 2008 when the VC's were released. It is a very cool catalog, I was lucky to find it I think.

The master class should be awesome, will let you know how it goes.

As for bed? It's not even 8pm!!! Plenty of time to stare at the pictures.

Will let you know about the VC AT as soon as I know.

    Cheers,

    Jarrod

I'm guessing I over estimated the number of Thunderbirds fans here.... :-)

My AD says its looking good, pretty sure they have found a VC AT and it will be on its way in the near future. Pretty stoked with the news. Can't wait to get it. Then I will chase the VC Inge, or the Portifino, or.....

Jarrod...I'm liking what I'm hearing. Shall we say " Cautiously Optimistic " ?
Be great if it could happen for the holidays. Hoping you will become the newest member of the VC-AT club.

Cheers Andy, I got the impression he was 99% but I will let you know when he confirms 100%. I don't think he would have said anything if it wasn't likely. Very cool. With any luck I'll catch you in your part of the world late next year. With a VC AT. Now that would be cool!
