...waiting for summertime...

"So, what's new on IWC? Ah, a contest! What's to win? Oooh, OMG, OMG, the book I always wanted!! What do I have to do? Pictures of my IWC? No problem, I can do that! My golden baby is so old and beautiful she will win anyway the prize for the oldest IWC in the competition :) But... but... photos with a cell phone? A CELL PHONE?? Nooooo!! I invested a lot in photo gear, and now I have to shoot my golden baby savonette with a cell phone?? OK, how to handle it? How to get the most out of it? Let's try to be creative...
Hmm, what if I'll shoot my baby savonette "with" my SLR photographic gear, but still obey the rules of the competition? Hey, that should work! OK, let's do it! All photos are shot with my iPhone 4, no editing (like that's not obvious enough :(

Three more pics, without the photo gear:

Good luck baby, get me that awesome book!
AJR ENTRY NO.6
Chasing The Perpetual Dream

Tracy, you really need to explain to me how Alan took this picture!
This picture which I find amazing (...ly well done!).
Best regards
Mark
ps: now I am really going to have to get creative with my phone camera!
Entry 1 - Laureus collection

Entry 2 - Mark XII collection

Entry 3 - Mark XVI collection

Entry 4 - Finally something useful on the television

Entry 5 - Wrist and Hand shot (Mark XII)

Entry 6 - Pilots collection

A bakers dozen from Andrew, pretty impressive!
Aloha Mark -
It is indeed a spectacular shot and I had to look at it for a long time wondering how Alan did it without violating the no-photoshop rule.
The cell phone-only rule is certainly prompting people to rise to the occasion, meet new challenges, and think out of the box!
I am sure that we will soon see some other pictures using Alan's new-found technique. Imitation is certainly the highest form of flattery.
What about the title "Chasing the Perpetual Dream" - is that really OUR Alan waxing so poetic? (LOL)

AJR ENTRY NO. 7
Propelling The St. Exupery To Glory

What a great contest idea. Here is my first submission.

Flieger 3717

Here is my entry, made at the office this afternoon, showing not only my Portuguese Perpetual Calendar on my wrist, but also the platinum watch as my screen picture for almost eight years now. Surprisingly sharp picture, about the best I made of this watch until now.
Thank you for the challenge, Tracy, to not only try and make a picture with my mobile phone having photo capability (not too long in my possession), but also to find out how to get it out of my phone: trivial for those who know, but not to those who don't. Never too old to learn.
Kind regards,
Paul

Aloha Paul -
Thanks for making the effort and taking the time to participate in the contest!
I've received a lot of e-mail from people who are doing the same thing as you for the first time and the results have been impressive.
In the meantime, all I can say is that I'm dying to ship these books off to the winners because they are taking up precious work space here at my office because they are so big
