    Dear IWC...
I'm in the process of purchasing an Aquatimer. While I think the proprietary strap system is fantastic, it does stop owners fitting third party straps. Therefore I suggest that you make some alternatives available... Think of how great a yellow rubber strap would look with the white face!

I realise that there are both bracelet and black rubber straps, but the system would greatly benefit from more options, even if the are just alternative colours.

Also, a deployant would be great... I know it may not be true to the diver watch category, but it would make me happy.

    Thanks, C'y

Quite a few (including me) have asked for a deployant for the rubber strap (and a quick-adjust clasp for the steel bracelet...). Maybe in Geneva in January :)

    Totally agree with you Chronography!

One of the reasons I love my Ingenieur Automatic Carbon Performance is that the designers and engineers, I truly believe and feel, were able to make this watch amazingly subtle and non-eye catching, especially when compared to other CF watches - no one will ever notice it unless they are one meter/three feet away or they can tell it's in Ingenier from the five bolts. I also love this watch because my favorite color is yellow, a bright and noticeable color, which was incorporated into the watch but very tastefully, not overused, and adds that subtle splash of color to an otherwise all black watch (can only see the CF pattern when up close) at the same time.

The subtleness and non-eye catchiness qualities being said, I would absolutely love it if IWC did come out with a bright yellow rubber strap to change out and go crazy and wild sometime (the yellow stitching on the strap isn't quite enough sometimes). A yellow strap would completely change the aura of this particular watch, from less serious to more fun, and make it more noticeable if I chose to, even if only because people noticed a bright yellow strap and completely ignored the carbon fiber (totally fine with me). Even though I wear this watch every day and love it even more than the day I bought it, it would bring new life to a watch that really doesn't need a new life, but maybe just a new wardrobe every now and then.

What it looks like from selfie-distance far away, even more standard issue black watch looks from further away:

How much less subtle it is as the details come out when up close:

Still hopeful that once all the activity over the new pilots line has died down, that we'll get a wee announcement of more strap options for the Aquatimer...
