Hi sirs, i was looking for a new strap for my Aquatimer 3548 that currently has the rubber strap.
I read that the kevlar iwa16242 is compatible with the older model, but i think that shares the same attachment gear as mine. Anyone could confirm the compatibility? And maybe provide me the part number for the full nylon strap in SS complete with the full links set for attach to the watch chassis...

    Thanks in advance!

    Andrea

IWA04925 is "the part number for the full nylon strap in SS complete with the full links set for attach to the watch chassis"

    Hello
I own an Aquatimer IW354807 (model 2005) and I ordered the IWA04925 velcro strap following info gathered on the forum and from IWC directly

Unfortunately a part is missing and the strap cannot be attached as such to the chassis

The strap I received is a piece of velcro with 1 metal part on each end holding a bar.
Since the watch also has bars, the missing part is a small rectangle (circa 15mm*8mm) which is used to link the chassis to the strap. I can see it on several pictures found on the web

Does anyone know if such part is supposed to come together with the strap or if it should be ordered extra?
the ref of such missing component and the cost?
I was charged 340 euros for the IWA04925.

I'd be happy to post photos but I can't figure out how :-)

    Many thanks

Please do post a photo - here is a "how to" as posted by Bill B:

I am guessing that this was accomplished by swapping out a bracelet for the hook & loop option, as the missing piece may be from the bracelet:

I would expect the hook and loop strap to come with everything you should need to attach to the watch case. I cannot imagine that you would have to also posesess the stainless bracelet in order to share the missing link. You should inquire with the source you purchased from as to weather the parts are missing.

Ben, thanks for your answer. I fully agree with you. Can someone who ordered the IWA04925 confirm that the strap came with the link which is missing for me? many thanks and enjoy the weekend

As the 3719 is since a long time on my wish-list I've seen several posts about it (using the same strap options) and never seen the Velcro+end-pieces coming together with the middle part, so I think it should not have to, though it is strange for me too. You either have the bracelet or order the middle part too... (Don't forget about the pins too.)
BTW what is the velcro strap width, or better say the inner width of the end-pieces to take up straps? My estimation is 22 mm or so... Could you please post a photo about the end part of the Velcro strap? (I wonder if it has a similar ending to that of the 3767-compatible Velcro strap, which is a nice part with the three letters...
Enjoy your AT, a beautiful watch! Best,
    Robert
