Hi All,
I have just got back to my hotel after catching up with Jim / DZUL and his lovely wife Dorothy who were great hosts and took me out for some good mexican food for my first trip to Austin.
Whilst I am travelling with a couple of watches, I left some in the safe and only had the piece that was on my wrist - luckily Jim bought his collection along so we had a nice little gathering of IWC's. I managed to get one quick shot of the lot together and Dorothy was in control of the other camera so will have to wait for Jim to upload the pictures they got. Here is the bunch:

From the left - Jim's Spitfire, my Portuguese, Jims Vintage Collection Ingenieur, Jims Collectors Forum DaVinci and Jims Portofino.
I have to say, the collectors forum DaVinci is a sensational looking watch and feels great on the wrist - it is definitely swaying me towards a Kurt Klaus as my next watch.
In Austin but missing from the meet was my TopGun 3799 and Ti 3227 Ingenieur.
I have to say a big thanks to Dorothy and Jim for being such great hosts - they both have a very early start in the morning and dont live close to town so made a great effort to accommodate me and give me a quick tour around town. Austin is a great place and I wish I could have been here fora few more days but have to jet out tomorrow - to New York City where I will be meeting up with Kevin and a trip to the Boutique - something Jim is very jealous about :)
Cheers,
Ben
