Hello, a friend is selling me a IWC Aquatimer, he of course claims it is original, but I want to make sure, can you help me?

Without looking at the image - if you say the person that is selling you the watch is a "friend", should there be any question as to the authenticity?
I guess he's not that close a friend. I do want to help him though.
This image looks to be a stock image of IWC...I do not think this is an actual photograph of your friend's watch.
If your friend can't bother to even give you an actual picture of the watch, I'm not so sure how legit the watch is.... Or did you link that picture yourself, this is all very confusing...

the picture seems to have some professional watermark or background. you might want to ask your friend for different pictures of the watch that shows he actually owns it. this photo seems pretty generic.
