Truly a small one. Although carrying a camera with me I have really made only
a few pictures. Having not met the fellow collectors for a long time I have
decided to rather enjoy the time with them and left shooting photos to the
others. (Sorry guys and thank you guys ;o)
So take this thread as a BIG thank you with a small picture bonus. I want to
thank Mark and Bill for keeping this tradition. I want to thank Mark even more
for taking the time, efforts and funds for organising such a special event. I
want to thank Tonny, Adrian and IWC for making the event richer with
knowledge, fun and specialities. I want to thank everyone who has come, even
with tight schedules. It was another day to remember. Only thing I regret is
that I haven't stayed a day or two longer. Hopefully next time.
Thank you all.
And here are the few photos worth publishing:
First the watch. Although mostly the famous Italian Inge is expected from me I
have decided to finally fly the Spitfire.

I have landed already on Thursday and used the evening for a small beer warm
up with Bill -

- and his Porsche.

The main event day Friday has started with the lunch and first bigger meeting.
Smiles, fun, hand shakes, hugs, bottles and watches were distributed all
around. I have used the opportunity to make some comparisons.
Spitfire vs. CF3

Spitfire vs. Big Pilot Ali

Until this moment I have thought that my wrist is too small for a BP watch.
Now it seems it is not, I just need to wear it a little further ;o)
The day has continued with a boat trip. But when I have taken over the
steering wheel suddenly the fun was over (not for me however) and the
passengers' moods and emotions were changing from horror to nausea. I just
don't understand...

When the wheel was back in the right hands Andrew finally calmed down and
enjoyed the cruise -

before he left us for his plane.

The official part has started later on with full collectors crew. Look forward
for more pictures from the fellow forummers!
