Truly a small one. Although carrying a camera with me I have really made only
a few pictures. Having not met the fellow collectors for a long time I have
decided to rather enjoy the time with them and left shooting photos to the
others. (Sorry guys and thank you guys ;o)

So take this thread as a BIG thank you with a small picture bonus. I want to
thank Mark and Bill for keeping this tradition. I want to thank Mark even more
for taking the time, efforts and funds for organising such a special event. I
want to thank Tonny, Adrian and IWC for making the event richer with
knowledge, fun and specialities. I want to thank everyone who has come, even
with tight schedules. It was another day to remember. Only thing I regret is
that I haven't stayed a day or two longer. Hopefully next time.

    Thank you all.

And here are the few photos worth publishing:

First the watch. Although mostly the famous Italian Inge is expected from me I
have decided to finally fly the Spitfire.

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

I have landed already on Thursday and used the evening for a small beer warm
    up with Bill -

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

    • and his Porsche.

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

The main event day Friday has started with the lunch and first bigger meeting.
Smiles, fun, hand shakes, hugs, bottles and watches were distributed all
around. I have used the opportunity to make some comparisons.

    Spitfire vs. CF3

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

    Spitfire vs. Big Pilot Ali

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

Until this moment I have thought that my wrist is too small for a BP watch.
Now it seems it is not, I just need to wear it a little further ;o)

The day has continued with a boat trip. But when I have taken over the
steering wheel suddenly the fun was over (not for me however) and the
passengers' moods and emotions were changing from horror to nausea. I just
    don't understand...

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

When the wheel was back in the right hands Andrew finally calmed down and
    enjoyed the cruise -

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

before he left us for his plane.

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

The official part has started later on with full collectors crew. Look forward
for more pictures from the fellow forummers!

Thank you for this nice report Marian42, or should I say captain ?
Sorry that we hadn't much time to talk more. But I am sure more GTG's will follow.

Nice memories already! Time flew, as your Spitfire: what a great watch it is. And I agree on the Big Pilot: it certainly is big, but it is constructed in a way that it even sits comfortable on medium sized wrists.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

It was a great pleasure to meet you for the first time and share a beer on Thursday evening before the real action started on Friday. Indeed, it was the best BBAMSGTG ever. Mark Levinsohn did an excellent job getting us all together and planning the events.

Sadly, two of our group were not with us this year...Kevin and Giovanni. They will not be forgotten.

My report with additional photos will be out in a couple of days. I just got home and have some 300 pictures to process.

Next year will be another great AMS GTG, I'm sure.

This was a great report of what I suspect will be the GTG of the year! I envy my European friends who were able to attend. Kudos to Mark L. for putting it together...and I look forward to a time when I can meet you, Marian!

Thanks for the report Marian. Small but fine and with some pictures of the part that I had to miss. It was nice meeting you in the evening on what I think was the largest spontanious IWC GTG outside Schaffhausen ever.

Looks like the single picture address on iCloud changes after a day even if the whole album is publicly shared :o( I am sorry for that... I'll do it with the whole album then.

The link was added to the first post.
