I am a new IWC owner, and have the Portuguese Auto. Beautiful. I have noticed that the very elegant hour hand looks like it bends towards the end. Is this simply the curvature of the face, or do I need it checked out?

If I recall, it's normal. I dont have my 5001 nearby to check. It gives a better perspective to track it's position in relation to the hours and minutes markers. But, as always, I can be corrected by the experts.

Thank you. I should have clarified...the bend is vertical, ie down towards the face rather than a bend to the left or right. I think it is the curvature of the glass, but would love clarification. Great site by the way.

Correct. It should bend toward the face, not side to side.

I also believe it's due to the curvature of the glass. My seconds and minutes hand also appear to curve towards the dial
