    Hello everyone,
I'm a long-standing IWC fan. I have a doppelchrono which I wear almost everyday and the watch has never missed a beat! Now I have seen a BP 5002 - quite by chance in a secondhand watch shop. I was looking for something totally different but the watch kept winking at me so I had to pick it up. The watch seems in amazingly perfect order and I would say it has never been worn because the strap is still not moulded to a wrist shape and the case is totally blemish-free but it has no papers and no box. I'm having the serial number checked out but in the meantime a quick question - are items like box and papers available to purchase from IWC separately even though the watch is discontinued?
    Many thanks
    Alistair.

No,in my experience, these items are not available from the manufacturer. Occassionaly, these items may be offered on the on-line auction websites, but beware fakes.

You have acquired an iconic and historic IWC. Enjoy it and post pictures.

Thank you. Do you know what the watch box should look like? My doppel has a large brown wooden box with a brass buckle on the front. Is it the same for the early BPs?

Here is the box for my 5002 slow beat. It was in the first series of 5002 introduced in 2002. The case number on mine is 2881xxx.

    Bill
thanks for the pictures. The box seems very similar only bigger still than the doppel's. Very nice. Have a good weekend.

This a shot of my 3711 Der Doppel Chronograph box. It hasn't been out of storage for awhile, but it may be slightly larger,I don't recall

This one is and remains for me the most beautiful BP, especially with this wonderful wooden box. Just a tidbit of IWC. It's time to see how the new collection will look like. Photos are already available, but on Thursday I'm next to them ;-)

    Kind regards, Daniel

Well my doppelchrono now has a buddy - a BP5002 Mark1 - serial no. 2959xxx. If someone can direct me how I will load up a picture or two.

Congratulations on the 5002. It is among my most favorite IWC's. It's a true classic and much beloved by forum members.

    Looking forward to your pictures.
