    Hi

I've always said that my next IWC should be a PPC. After two Portuguese its also time to mix it up a bit - so top of the wishlist is a Big Pilot PPC.
The only one's I've known about so far where the Bucherer and the orange boutique editions. I've now come across one with white numerals (same as the Bucherer) and the seller says the movement is 51110. Supposedly it was also limited to 70 pieces.
Any Big Pilot expert who has an idea if this sounds right/which edition this could be?

    thanks in advance
    Xaver

I have the Bucherer edition which was limited to 70 pieces in steel. Only other white numeral edition I know of is the titanium Cellini.
There is a St Ex model but that is gold.

In addition to the one Alan mentioned, the 2006 Sincere Platinum version also has White numbers, and a hefty price tag, LOL!!!!!

    Thanks for your replies.
@Nad: Its definitively not the Platinum version. Or if it is, I should jump at the opportunity. ;)

I'm thinking its either the Bucherer in steel or a fake. Is there a way to ascertain authenticity without bringing it to an AD?

    Cheers
    Xaver

I had not heard of this edition. It looks legit. Compare to the Bucherer. The difference is that the Bucherer has red markers instead of blue. The rotor on the Bucherer is also different .
But the watch looks correct in terms of a BPP.

    Hi Prince,

The black dial with blue arrow accents edition could be either the Middle East (70 pcs Limited Edition) or the Buenos Aires (40 pcs Limited Edition).

    I like both !

Thanks Shing. What's the difference between the two version? I like both, though!

Btw, I've never seen any real PPC at any of the boutiques or ADs. Is it really very rare?

    Hi Al,

No difference apart from the number of limited editions (which shows on the rotor on the back) - based on what I have seen. Franz's website shows a pic of the Middle East edition's back. YOu can see both editions here and here.

Hmmm.on Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar being available in boutiques or ADs - u might be quite right. Now that I think about it, they are not common here in HK. Perhaps because they are sold out really quickly ?

The exception could be this one - which I see readily , a lot of in fact. Its the St. Ex BP Perpetual Calendar, sout not strictly a "Big PIlot Perpetual Calendar"

Congratulations on acquiring a very special watch. The BP PPC is the type of watch that enters the room first! LOL! Everyone has to notice what watch you are wearing.

    You are very lucky!

    Best,

I believe that this is a special addition made for the middle east. from the little research that i have done on big pilot perpetual calendars there are a few steel version of the watch that are existent to my knowledge.

Another similar version with the same color combinations. I believe the Boutique of Argentina has one similar limited to 40 pcs.

We're not supposed to comment on specific pricing of current models, because the forum has to be non-commercial. But if you leave your e-mail address hopefully someone will write you. I will say that the price isn't out of range, but if it's second hand condition comes into play.

    Good luck.
