big pilot - strap combination - question

hi,

A relative IWC newbee here. I'm looking for a second hand Big Pilot, I really love the watch.. but I'm a little confused about the color of the strap.

I want a brown strap, but can't seem to find out which models in the past were originally sold with brown straps.

Can anyone tell me or better; is there an overview of old collections of big pilots?

Is it unusual for IWC watches to replace a black strap with a brown version?
