It's time for some stunning history.

Every now and then when I am in Amsterdam, I visit my buddy Jasper Lijfering who is co-owner of Amsterdam Vintage Watches. It's always cool to see some of the, as I would say, real deal watches. The true originals that defined the history of the watchbrand we all love so much. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to photograph some of these stunning pieces for all of you to enjoy. So a huge thank you Jasper for the oppurtunity! Very much appreciated :)

    Let's get to the watches!

One of the most gorgeous watches IWC ever created, in my opinion, is the Ingnieur ref. 666. I was lucky enough that at the time I visited to take the pictures Jasper had two examples on stock. The pictures speak for themselves, but this was by far the most mint examples I have ever came across. Such an amazing beauty.

Another gorgeous watch which was just in, is this lovely ref. IW5000 which was made in a limited quantity of 1.000 pieces. We all know this watch, so I don't have to add much words to the pictures. Personally really love the blue hands for the power reserve indicator and the small seconds. It's a very subtle detail that just gives that little extra to the watch. IWC really masters those tiny details so perfectly. Really stunning piece.

Wait a minute...what's that in the water what I am seeing?! Could it be....a shark??? Yesyesyes! A gorgeous piece with sharkfin lugs! Heavenly watch. Nothing more to add to that statement.

Again huge thank you to Jasper Lijfering from Amsterdam Vintage Watches for giving me the opportunity to take pictures of these fine pieces of wristcandy.

Wow, great report Koen and Jasper certainly has a great shop.

I love your pictures of the silver-dial 666!

The Portuguese 2000 is a true icon and very under-appreciated as far as I'm concerned. Particularly this steel version with 'panda' dial is great and..... the platinum is even more special!!!

Thanks for sharing your shots with us, regards,

    Bob
