If IWC would make it possible for us to have a 4th Collectors Forum watch, I would be thrilled. There are many great ideas in this thread, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

What I'd like to see is a Portugieser hand wound eight days with a white dial and blue arabics and hands.

    Something similar to this?

A Portugieser is long overdue. Hand wound to keep the price within reach.

How about a steel version of the IW397201 - the platinum Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month? It seems like a great many of us have lusted after the platinum version and a steel CF4 version would make sense - particularly given the forum's over-the-top enthusiasm for that design. IWC could easily replace the blued hands with black, grey, steel or white gold hands to distinguish this CF4 from the platinum version without hurting the aesthetic appeal in any way. They could also change the strap color to brown for further differentiation.

I think if priced aggressively, they could sell out on pre-orders for this CF4 from the forum alone.

As much as I love the 397201, I'm afraid that the price would inevitably be prohibitively high for most forum members.

The price of a collector's forum watch requires a balancing act between IWC's business requirements, and not making the watch financially too exclusive for most forum members. After all, a CF watch should be something that unites, rather than divides, forum members.

    Here's another idea.

Blue dials seem to be very popular among forum members, so maybe something like this would work:

    JllPEE,
I suppose you're right...it would depend on how aggressive IWC wants to be on price but I can't see this priced below 20k (and even 20k would likely be very optimistic).

Now this is a great idea. This could well be my first CF watch. Which blue? The one used for the Mark XVIII little prince, which I enjoy the last month about every day. This is such a great colour: dark grey/blue most of the time when inside the house, some beautiful flashes of almost light blue when biking in the sun, making me look at the watch every few minutes, hardly interested in the time.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I do quite like the Portugieser 8 days hand-wound concept. My version would have the "75th Anniversary Edition" script, a nice blue sunburst dial and lose the date!

Gents, a CF Watch offering by IWC is IMHO something that we should (and do) acknowledge as a privelage. Just as we acknowledge that IWC is the only Watch Manufacturer to sponsor a platform such as the forum) we should also accept the fact that there is a very intense and demanding planning required to keep the new models coming. Often spanning years prior to actual release of a new model. So lets accept its going to be a while before we see a CF4.... Or?

But whatever it may be it should be affordable to most here, and reflectie the values of this Group.

What about a Portugieser Chronograph Classic with Rattrapante in steel? I would love to see that with a tobacco brown dial - with a similar design to that of the "Boutique Milano" but with an aged patina look.

I'm afraid it would not work without that extra rattrapante button ;)
