I was able to see a couple of new arrivals today that are unique and very special.
The TriBeCa limited edition Portuguesier surprised me. I went in with a not so favorable opinion on this one. But, in the flesh it is much more subdued. The ardoise dial is typically IWC beautiful. The subdials are not as garish or contrasty as I expected. It will not make my wish list, but it's off my scary list.
iPhone Photo: It does not photograph well. The subdials do look a bit too much, but not so in real life.

The mezzanine level of the Boutique is set up for the next month in honor of the TriBeCa introduction. There is a continuous movie playing from the gala event a few days ago when Herr Kern and the IWC Ambassadors and celebrities held the auction.

The Portuguese Skeleton Tourbillon is spectacular and pricy. It looks like it's based on the FA Jones movement with a tourbillon complication. Nice to look at. Skeletons are not not my cup of tea however.

Lastly, I met the new NYC Flagship Manager, Andrew Malitzis. He arrived full time this week from his prior home at the FL Boutique. He's a native New Yorker returning home. Of Greek ancestry, he will be a good friend with our fellow Greek Collectors: Evan, Argiris and Dimitri. Andrew (aka Drew to some) is on the right: and Andre Ghighi, long time sales person at the Boutique, is on the left.
