Hi,
find hereafter a c982:
I checked on internet and found all c982 with swan neck only.
This one does not have. Isn't this weird ?
Thanks for your feedback,
Christophe

No idea ?
Anyone out there ? :)
Additional and weird info:
Serial number: 1674466
According to IWC books, it means:
The movement is a calibre 41, dating from the year 1963
Is this a fake c982 ?
Hi Christophe,
I don't see nothing wrong with this movement, polishings of bridges are compliant to the standards, architecture of the calibre looks ok, even without the swan neck. I think it's possible some calibres 982 were produced without this type of adjustment.
Are you sure the serial number starts with 16? The first batch should start from 187.
Hey Roberto,
good to see you here... :)
you're right. I guess it is 1874466 and not 1674466.
Then it sounds better:
The movement is a calibre 982, dating from the year 1967.
Thanks again my friend.
So Christophe, are you now the proud owner of this fine Calibre?
Hi Mark,
I am indeed.
A bit of expensive from my opinion, but... when you desire something, it is quite hard to de-focus :)
I think one can say that I am Portugese (movements) addicted:
- Ref325: c98 (movement only) ==> but soon in a brand new custom case (and a cleaned dial)
- Ref325: c982 (movement only)
- Ref5001: c51011 (complete watch)
- Ref5021: c56011 (movement only) ==> still desperately looking for set of hands
I still miss the c74 and the C9828... :)
Kind Regards,
Christophe.
