    Hi All,

I had the pleasure of meeting up with KS Low and his friend Michael last night. They were in Sydney on business and we met up for a great dinner with a sensational view of the city and some great talk about IWC. Unlike the usual photos from the catchups that KS Low, Shing etc are involved in, we dont have any photos of thousands of IWC watches sitting next to oversized lobsters, crabs, dumplings and other tasty looking food - we actually didn't get any photos so sorry, I cant share them with you, but we did have a good talk.

The catch up reminded me that I will be in Austin, Texas next week and I thought it would be good to catch up with any other people afflicted by the IWC disease whilst there, so here is my shout out to all you Austin'ites out there, if anyone is interested in a get together, please drop me a line. It wil be my first trip to Austin so am looking forward to a look around and will make sure I get plenty of photos from the trip.

    Cheers,

    Ben

Ben, I am sure a good time was had by the 3 of you. That no photos were taken....can happen!

But I'd still be intrested to hear what 3 watches were present (assuming Michael was wearing one - LoL)

Ben, is there any chance you are getting to Austin via Houston? I have to be in Houston all next week on business.

    Hi Dick,

I am coming in via Dallas and only have a 2 hour stop over there before jetting off to Austin - I get in at around 4pm this coming Sunday so may be able to catch up Sunday evening if you are still around then before you go to Houston.

Jim - thank you for the offer, I look forward to some Texas hospitality - I will shoot you an email soon to chat.

We had a 5004 Big Pilot and a 5001 Portuguese present - it was good in that they were both our first IWC's and it was interesting to share how our views on what watches were desired had changed since that first special purchase.

    Cheers,

    Ben

    Ben,
It looks like Dick is going to make a quick side trip to Austin on Sunday afternoon. I know you will be pretty jet lagged, but it would be great if we get together in the early evening after you get settled. Drop me an email.

Have fun guys, these GTG's are one of the best things of the Forum membership.

    Kind regards,
