I have had this watch for nearly 10 years now; I even got it serviced at Schaffhausen around 3 years ago but I still can't pin down its Ref: No. Can anyone help?

Like many people I thought it was a lady's (or Skinny)version as it measures 32 mm x 5 mm but I gather from reading around it is in fact a man's watch. It would seem from the great Moeb.com database that the Lady Ingenieurs are 26mm x 7.2mm.

The case number suggests a manufacturing date of around 1987. I also wonder if the inner case is made of titanium as I hope you case see from the pictures below the outside looks like SS.

Anyway I would be so grateful if anyone can cast some light on the matter?

    Best
    Chris

Thanks so much for your help it is much appreciated and it looks as if your analysis is accurate.

By the way I have to say your 'ingenieur' manual is such a great work. I love browsing it.

    Thanks again
