The ceramic da Vinci looks really cool, I think. I love the 3D dial.

A definite winner!
I wonder how scratch resistant is polish grade 5 titanium?
Nice combo of titanium & ceramic
Hopefully it is a normal production.:)

Oh my! That is really amazing
Perfect harmony of the Da Vinci case design, ceramic and titanium, and a bold design. Well done IWC
Drop-dead gorgeous...
Perfect combination a technical, functional appearance, and elegance.
Like HiFi, I'm a little worried about the scratch-resistance of the polished titanium bezel. But I guess that just means we'll each have to order a couple of spare bezels. ,-}
Can't wait to try this one on the wrist.

Yes, Please...
That is a great-looking watch. Love the dial, incredible.
Wonder why the polished titanium bezel?
What would be wrong with a ceramic/ZirOx bezel? Are there technical reasons?
"Very Sharp" Another IWC Winner......(nt)
Great design...I'm tempted, but...
unfortunately the case dimensions have grown to the size of the case of the digital-date DV version, which is really large!
Urs
Pretty cool looking DV! >>
I would not worry about too much the Ti. I had a JLC Ti watch with polished parts in the bracelet and it was very strong, looked like steel but it was actually better.
Very beautiful
As mentioned above, this is for me the first time the Da Vinci shows some unity in design, it looks fantastic. It is just a pity that only real big men can wear it, I would feel quite uncomfortable, even a bit foolish with this size. Like, that I had to prove something by wearing a big watch.
Kind regards,
Paul, wearing, as promised, rose gold Saint Exupéry Chrono
Damn this one's really cool!
I just had a little view on it and I'm deeply amazed. It adds sportyness and ruggedness to this elegant watch. It has a completely new aura.
I just love it.

Simply outstanding...
I've been staring at this one for a while and I'm still speechless!
Some difficult decisions :)
Cheers,
Evan
WINNER! I'm going to have to have it!

...I Can't stop looking at the photos of this one!
Great design, very attractive watch
The first of the tonneau-shaped da Vincis that appeals to me.
I believe I would have preferred if the "Da Vinci" at the top and the "Chronograph" had been left of the face of the watch but that is a minor flaw.
I also need to get used to the size, in particular if as "Stz" pointed out above the case is larger than the regular da Vinci chronograph.
Dirk
Tempting indeed, but ...
... the case is truly enormous at 44 x 52.8 mm - larger than the not exactly petite regular Da Vinci Chronograph case, which has dimensions of 43.1 x 51 mm.
Dirk
not only is the case larger, but.....
....the price is roughly 2000 USD (or equivalent) more than the Da Vinci. Also, when compared to the CF Da Vinci, which includes also a bracelet --about a 2300 value-- the list price difference is around 4600 USD more depending on currency/country. That's a huge premium for a dial and case frame.
I like the watch --really. But having thought about it, it has a non-IWC "Richard MIlle Me-Too" dial and I'm more of a traditionalist, even in the context of a Da Vinci. I do find it a good looking watch, but I sometimes think we need to evaluate it as an economic item in the marketplace.
That said, one journalist commented that it is a bargain compared to a Richard Mille and competes in price with some other high-end Audemars chronos. And even if not consistent with anything else from IWC, I do like its looks too.
Regards,
Michael
Suspect reasons to buy one. Part 2
Agreed. At 10% of the price of a RM, it is an absolute gift. And there's none of that faux carbon fibre nonsense. Probus scafusia in ceramic and titanium.
