I am excited about my new canvas strap for the CF3. When I saw this strap the first time in a picture from Jarrod, I was smitten with this combo.
After a comment in the forum, Jarrod was kind enough to send me an email-adress from the guy who made the strap.
For quite a long time I was hesitating to order, because I felt a bit embarrised just to copy it.
But when Jarrod posted a pic from that combo in Portofino (brilliant pic!) it pushed me over the edge and I ordered one for myself.

So, many thanks again to Jarrod for supporting me, and sorry to copy your inspiration.

    Here we go:

Wow! Never expected the combo would work, but it does. Nice strap color that goes well with the lume on the hands in the dial I must say.

    Yeah, that is the business.

The CF3 is so versatile - it looks great on the original leather strap as well as the bracelet. But this strap combo is something else again.

    Congrats Chris.

I am guilty as well. I have a duplicate on order. I had to wait in queue as he is a busy guy.

It is a great looking strap. It is also on my "to get" list for a Texas summer-ready CF3.

    It looks really great!
But let me ask you: why are the straps in a upside down position? I would get it, had you used a deployant clasp, but with ardillon? Is it about comfort?

Honestly, first it was by mistake ;-), but then I felt it is easier to put on and off like this. I will let it be like this at the moment and maybe I'll change it back to "normal" ;-)

    Cheers Chris

Ohh, thats a bit of a relieve ;-). You can look forward to it, that guy is great and reliable, but as you mentioned busy too. I was waiting for 7 weeks, but everything worked perfect.

    Cheers Chris

That strap looks quite nice: both sturdy and beautiful, and it fits the watch quite nicely! I also think it is in line with a tool watch, where pilots in the old and new days must improvise when needed, for instance when an old strap broke down or was uncomfortable because of climate conditions.

I see that the original buckle is not used, that is a pity: the great quality buckle is part of the hardware as far as I am concerned. Wasn't it possible to use the original buckle?

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Paul,

When I spoke with the maker, I asked to have the strap accommodate the deployment buckle. He told me his canvas strap is too thick for the OEM deployant and I expect even an IWC tang buckle.
