    Hello Everyone!!!

This is my first post here, although I am on a forum for quite a while. Until now I was just quietly reading your posts and enjoying every minute on this forum. For me this is a greatest place full of dedicated but also friendly and nice people and I hope I can become a part of this family.

I am 25 and I am from Prague in Czech Republic. I am interested in watches for a long time now and since the beginning I am an IWC enthusiast. For me this brand has something special which I can not describe. Every masterpiece from IWC has a soul which is near to my own.

Having my own IWC was one of my biggest dreams and although I was just a student I managed to spare some money and buy Pilot’s Chronograph. This is definitely stupid investment for most of the people, but it still makes me happy and I will never regret this decision.

I think I have a nice story for you. I know that I am a bit late, but it is a Christmas story. Me and my girlfriend who is by coincidence from abroad were going to celebrate our first Christmas together. Few weeks before the Christmas Eve I have found something special. The vintage IWC from 1979 in a really good shape in a local antique shop. I fell in love with it and I just had to buy it, because I knew my girlfriend will love it (she is a fan of vintage watches). I can not remember when was the last time I was looking forward to the Christmas so much. I knew she will be shocked and happy. Make it shorter....On a Christmas Eve she was not the only one who got IWC. Under the tree lied IWC pocket watch from 1914, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Being honest, I was quite sad, because I badly needed some new socks.

So we can call ourselfs IWC collectors now. I know that our collection is not the most outstanding one, but we are for sure one of the happiest collectors ever.

    Congratulations to both and welcome..

It's good to see you started posting instead of only reading here.

I wish both of you luck and many new IWC's. It's nice to share this hobby together, I think many of us here have wives that are less understanding :-)

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

very special indeed! thanks and welcome...

    Hi Pavel,

This is a wonderful Christmas story and also it speaks for all seasons and times. My compliments to your girlfriend, and my compliments to you.

The wristwatch is a classic, and the pocket watch looks special (it has, I think, a "gun metal" case, which always is interesting).

Thanks for your post and participation,
    Michael
