Coffee with the 3 Ps.

a brutal post-holiday work schedule and work-load had left me with no time since the end of January when I returned from a double SIHH-Lunar New Year 2-week vacation.

so having to run a strap errand for a well known collector & forummer in Hawaii gave me the opportunity for a much-welcomed one-hour reprieve @ HK Flagship from work drudgery the past Sunday.

needless to say, coffee with Portugeses, Pilots and Portofinos was terrific, as was the sit-down with Gary and Zack discussing the collection presented in SIHH.

including a few special pieces not available and not for sale in HK.

Shing, great photos many thanks as always for taking the time to share! Do you mind if I ask you what's the size of your wrist... would be helpful to get a rough idea as I vicariously live through your 'watch adventures'!

My wrist size is 6.5 to 6.7 inches, and as noted in this rather interesting discussion on wrist sizes here: www.iwc.com/forum/en/discussion/31809/ the shape of one's wrist can have an impact too :)

Great pictures Shing. That platinum Portofino is so classic pocket watch style, beautiful; and I think I recognize the blue BP previously seen on its owners wrist!!

Many thanks Shing. Fascinating reading and I agree it's not just all about size.... there are a whole bunch of other factors. My wrist size is actually same as yours but big watches (like they do on you) look fine on me (think it might have to do with my broadish shoulders). Anyways, just trying to figure out if my grail watch can be one of the thicker and larger ones (like a big pilot perpetual). But of course, one needs to see all this in the flesh! Great Pics - but I was beginning to wonder where the 3rd P was - as the Pilots came very late/further down in post!
