In light of all the discussion about CFW III, I spent some time revisiting the selection, presentation, and acquisition of the last Collectors' Forum Watch (CFW)...the CFDV.

I know it was not everyone's cup of tea, but it has become one of my favorite IWC's. I must admit some initial tepidation when IWC announced a DaVinci Chrono was selected as the second CFW. I wasn't sure about the tourneau case and had concerns it would fit my wrist. Despite my misgivings, it was the watch that was to be especially produced for members of this forum and I wanted to 'own' my participation in a very tangible way. I got up early and put in my order on the first day of availability. Since I no longer had ready access to an AD in Central Texas, I chose to order through the Beverly Hills Boutique.

When the watch arrived, I couldn't have been more pleased.

The CFDV was beautifully finished and fit my 6.75" wrist perfectly.

The CFDV proved to be comfortable and commanded a certain presence on the wrist.
We have an affinity in Texas for some regional "jewelry" that matched up rather nicely!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the suggestions, speculation and conversation about the possible CFW III...and I will be well-satisfied if turns out as well for me as the CFDV! IWC makes great watches for every taste!
