    Hey guys,

I picked up two cushion shaped IWCs this week here in brazil. I noticed that a few manufactures released these styles in a modern version recently at SIHH and Basel this year. Vacheron Constatin with their Harmony line, Cartier's Cle de Cartier, Laurent Ferrier and to a lesser degree Omega as well.

Anyone think IWC will ever do anything in this shape again? Sorry if this topic has been covered already since i'm new to forum!

Also, please let me know if anyone knows anything specific about these watches and post pictures of their own cushion shaped IWC's! One is 37mm and other is 40mm.

For one reason or another, IWC collectors are not that fond of cushion shaped IWC watches. If I remember well, a small limited series was made a few years ago for a German retailer ( can't remember who). They did not sell very well.
    Kind regards,
    Adrian,

Well Adrian I must disagree here with you.
I am found of the cushion shaped IWC's golf club automatic / automatic SL.
I find these aesthetically much more appealing than contemporary models (too often too big for my wrists), and much easier to wear on a daily basis.
Unluckily, I do not own any yet.

    Cheers
    William

Adrian, I think you are referring to Ref 2555 for Andreas Huber

Cushion dials and glass is not to my taste. Cushion cases I can live with but I am more selective. Of the ones shown and with no consideration to the name I like the VC and LF. The Huber edition nearly gets me excited but I would need to see it in the metal. Think though that the size could be the deal breaker if too small.

    Hello
I am not sure if this watch can be counted as "cushion shaped". At least it is "TV shaped"...

Love that inside bezel around the dial on that vintage blue piece.

The TV one doesn't work anymore as it's not widescreen 16:9 and is only analogue, not digital.;-))

I have been given my Grandfather's watch and I'd like to know what model it is. How can I find that out? It was bought in the early 70's, it is steel with a steel bracelet and it has a square/cushion shaped face. It has the IWC logo on the face and automatic blew the hands. Thank you in advance.

One of your cushion cased IWCs crossed paths with me in Toronto last year. Perhaps it was visiting with the previous owner?

    ...

But TVs are not shaped that way anymore.
You notice that you're getting old? ;-)
