    Hi all,

Just a thread in appreciation of my favourite IWC. I really think this watch is/was underrated. It is a stunner. When I see it on display for sale I think it looks good. But when you get it on your wrist it is a different story. It is just such a beautiful piece. Anyone thinking of getting one, do it. I guarantee you will love it. A few pics...

Great post Jarrod - the 3766 is a sensational watch and one that is still high on my hit list - in one way it is a shame that it is no longer available but in another way that just makes the examples like yours so much easier to appreciate.

Jarrod, this watch is really terrific. And your enthusiasm for it makes me wanna have one. ;-)
Great memories seeing my wrists together with yours on the group shot from SH last year.
Hope we can repeat that not too far from now.
    Cheers mate!

Tilo, it's a beautiful watch. We will be back over your way in 2016. Not that far away so I will stay in touch and let you know the plans. Would be great if we could have a few beers AND dinner this time! The time between now and then will fly.

    Cheers,

Jarrod, this sounds cool. Though a little time to wait. Hope I'll be a bit further in my Engineering project then. Dinner AND some beers is the minimum we'll go for. I'm looking forward to it very, very much, mate.
Have a great time til then.

Funny. Did a google search for "IWC 3766" and this pic came up. I took this on the medieval wall above Lucerne late last year. I must have posted it but can't remember? Cool pic anyways.

    Stunning piece indeed.

I have the oppertunity to buy a brand new and I have been looking at it since release.

How would you say the watch work/feel compaed to your other IWCs?

Anton... DO IT!! You will not regret it. I have had zero issues with mine including knocking it a few times and it is very hard wearing. It's never let me down. And if you think it looks good in the pictures, wait until you own one. I cannot stress enough how much better it is on the wrist over time than in the shop front display or in pictures. It is totally unique genius design, that like all classics, just gets better and better. DO IT! Go on, you will love it.

    Cheers,

    Jarrod

Jarrod, I gotta say that I love seeing this thread bumped. The pics are great and you really opened my eyes to the DaVinci line.

In fact, if I were after a DV, your ceramic would be the model I want. It's a strong and unique piece with a top mix of materials in the construction.

(Actually, on reflection... had I been around when it was released - and I was able to afford it - I'd have also loved a CF2!)

The watch is from 2012 and probably one of the last produced. Delivered to AD in 2013. So disregard from my question below. Watch is not from 2009:)

    edit

Thank you Jarrod for the input:)

I am definitely on this one. Just curious if any tech-savvy from IWC is lurching around these forums and know if there were any internal changes made during the IW376601 lifespan, as this specific piece I am looking at is dated 2009?

How would you say the service interval is affected on a watch that has been still since 2009?

Soon you may see some nice new wristshots^^

    Cheers

    Yet another question.

As far as I know this piece was introduced@ SIHH 2010. Did IWC start the production already in 2009? I saw that some early exhibitions in 2010 had prototypes showing of the 376601.

Can someone confirm when the production of the non prototype started and when the first shipments to ADs started.
