    Hi All,

Happy new owner of a brand new Portugieser Yacht Club.
When I bought it the vendor told me that to change the date I had first to put the time around 6:30 in order to not damage the mechanism.
Now I'm aware of the: don't change date between 2000 and 0200 but never read about the above constraint.

Can anybody shed some light on this?
(if possible before Feb 28 th?... ;-) )

Hello Birdy, welcome to the forum and congratulations on a very nice watch! No need to have your watch set to a specific time to change the date. Just don't advance the date between 2000 and 0200 and you are good. Now 6:30 is a safe time to change your date, as it doesn't matter weather it is am or pm and you only need to remember one number;)
