A pre-SIHH teaser:

Well, these watches shown are truly fantastic. The new movement for the chronograph and the perpetual calendar, now totally in-house, is a new milestone, I am sure. The beauty of the watch, subjective of course, is of the highest order, the whole watch looks both natural and special, never boring. IWC may be proud of these new watches. There are three dressy families now: Da Vinci, Portuguese, Portofino. Each has its own character, great! I am looking forward to the rest of the new watches, shown at SIHH.
The picture: alas, not my wrist, it is a slightly modified (removing useless sides) Hodinkee picture.
Kind regards,
Paul
VEry impressive watches, a deserved update of the Da Vinci. So now we also know the theme for 2017.
Some nice ladies watches will also be introduced in the Da Vinci line.
Interesting. It appears that the ladies automatic models still have a cal. 35111 i.e. a Sellita movement.
I hope IWC will introduce some new models based on the in-house cal 42000 movement.
Great design, contemporary yet with clear references back to -85. Promising for SIHH 2017!
