Defective dial on Mark XVII?

    Noticed that the painted/printed numbers on my Mark XVII appear to be flaking/lifting up. Look at the numerals 4, 5, 8, 10...

    I've also notice the lumed surface of the hands are wavy/bumpy.

    Anyone notice this on their watches? Could any other Pilot Watch owners post pics of their dials? Is what is happening to my dial normal or not? 

    And lastly, what will this cost me if I have IWC repair/replace?

    This is not supposed to happen.

    It is possible that the sealant may be compromised and humidity is the culprit. 

    Best to send it to an authorised service centre for a thorough check-up and quote. If it is humidity, we wouldn't want any further damage to the movement which could be costly.
