with my very first contemporary IWC!

I'm not the one that buys new timepieces that often, however, a while ago I started to long for a new one to be my daily companion. I had a hard time, I wanted an IWC, I wanted an in-house movement and I wanted it to be versatile enough to fit a formal suit as well as T-shirt and shorts on the powerboat. On top of this my wrists are not that powerful in diameter.

To add to the decision making difficulties new models were introduced, and new models again.

Eventually I'm very happy with my choice. The bracelet is just amazing and will fit summer activities that are natural part of life when living in an archipelago. I also added the croc strap with deployment clasp for a more dressed look the winther office period.

So, below are two quick and dirty shots of what was in the DHL parcel today. I have had a very busy day so there has been no chance of advanced play with the camera, just these bad ones below, but I wanted to share my joy...

    Anders, fantastic choice!

And welcome to the club. I really enjoy mine, and yes you are 100% correct, that bracelt with its micro-adjust, is absolutely great.

Big congrats Anders, that was by far my favourite pilot watch launched at SIHH last year. And I'm glad to hear you got the beautiful brown strap as well, I think it looks even better on that:-)

Congratulations Anders, that's a beauty and you captured the sunburst pattern of the ardoise dial very nicely in your second picture!

Enjoy and wear it in good health.

    Kind regards,

    Congratulations, Anders!
Excellent choice, a real beauty with its ardoise dial.
The bracelet with the new micro-adjust convinced me at once having seen it at SIHH 2012. Also that you purchased the brown strap with the deployment clasp for winter.
I apply the same method with my 3413. Here a phone pic before from yesterday afternoon before changing.

    Best regards

Congratulations Anders, that IMO is the finest watch in the Pilot line so far. Wear it in good health and great pictures too!

Great choice! So versatile to dress up or down, mine sees a lot of shorts and sun, so I'm sure you will be pleased with your decision.

I have now used this new watch for two days, I must admit I've got a problem...

When looking for what time it is I get captured by the amazing ardoise dial and cannot stop staring and enjoying the elegant sunray effect, not easy to be productive these days ;-)

On top of this it wears very well despite the big size. I'm still waiting for the AD to supply the croc strap that was on back log. Like some of you have pointed out it will look even sharper on that one.
