I have a number of watches from different makers made in the late 50s and early 60s.. One thing I have noticed is the names on the dials and the fonts used compared to their modern equivalents.. Watches from earlier years seem to me to have a nicer style of font than those on the more modern watches..

I find that the International Watch Co on my vintage IWC to look much nicer than the newer models with their 'chunky' IWC badge..

    So what do you think?

I think the old script logo is much more elegant and dressier, while the newer block print logo is sportier. Personally, I prefer the classic script, but I can see where some people would prefer the cleaner, updated look.

I love antiques and my house is from the 1800's (old for the US), as is most of the furniture in it. Other people prefer contemporary architecture and modern furniture. No real surprise that I like the more classic IWC's.

Here is mine alongside another watch of similar vintage..

The cursive style fonts add an elegance to these type of dress watches..

I like the newer ones... Or those that rise up from the face.. But then again I am in my mid 20s and prefer the sportier looking ones.
