    Good morning everyone,
    Are there major differences between the 5004 big pilot and the 5009? Thanks in advance for any input.

    I think there are changes in the way the crown srewed in and the clapse is a little bit stronger than at the 5004 (the picture below shows the 5009).
    I don“t know other changes at the movement or so.

    Two screws have been placed to the crown mechanism inside the case to reduce the possibility of the crown shaft being dislodge when tightening the crown too much.A fault generated by the watch owner,not an issue with IWC.

    Hi Kenneth,
    I haven't come across these screws in any 5009's yet. Are they part of the movement or case? Can you say how they guard against this fault?
