    Dear gents,

I've discovered an area of discoloration on the watch movement. Could this be
some kind of oxidation or some grease marks from the last service? Should I
send it immediately for service? There seems to be no other visible signs of
humidity in the watch and seem to be isolated in this area. Any advice greatly
    appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Vincent

    Hi Vincent

I'm sorry to see this discolouration appearing on your Portofino! How old is
    it?

It certainly looks like moisture has penetrated the crown seal and oxidized
    the polished bridge.

Have you left it crown out for any length of time?

    Hello,

Because of the localisation of the discoloration near the crown area, I would
    assume one of two things.

The first, that the seal around the crown has let in some moisture which means
that the water resistance of the case has been compromised. The second that
excess grease from the keyless mechanism has spread across the movement and
has made its way to the movement bridges.

Either way I hope you find a answer and solution to this issue.

Thanks guys, in any case this is going to the service center ASAP.

Mark, the watch stays in the safe most of the time with the crown in 1st
    position. Hardly used.

I suppose there's not much to be done about it and try to avoid any further
damages right now. Will report back here with more findings. Thanks.
